The Pebble Mine would serve as a magnet for every fruitcake environmentalist and sleazebag lawyer to divide families and pit village against village for many years to come. We Alaskans need to stand up to these professional activists and fear-mongers who contribute nothing to our economy, frighten our elders, and severely damage our viability as a functioning state.

As a business owner and resident of Bristol Bay, the realization that a foreign company is wanting to desecrate to land forever is unacceptable. Fruitcakes, sleazebags, whatever you want to call people is fine, but be realistic in your accusations. Fear mongering is relying on an unwarranted supposition to control a situation, however, relying on sound science and history to resist industrial development where it is not needed is not.
