They will be laid on what is pretty much a giant plastic tarp.  These plastic tarps will be their home for eternity.  The tailings are toxic and their toxicity never loses its strength.  It will be just as toxic a million years form now as it is today.  These giant plastic tarps which hold poisonous tailing materials will be laid to top of a section of earth that is very seismically active.  One tiny movement of these plates and Pebble's tailing tarps will tear.  The toxic tailing will then be released into the headwaters of the Bristol Bay.  The poisoning of our water water seems to be a guarantee based on these facts.  How can Pebble say that they can develop this mine responsibly given these facts?
